Rachel has trained in flyball for three years, and is active in both NAFA and U-FLI. She runs her Golden Retriever, Bandit, on Four Seasons Frenzyd Flyers Flyball Team. She assists with the training of all the teams dogs, helps bring along new and young ones, and runs anything that needs a handler.

Bandit is living testimony to how much dogs can love flyball. He has earned close to 10,000 combined points in the two years he has been playing. He is U-FLI ranked in the Golden breed by singles times. The combination has qualified with their team for the U-FLI national championship this fall.

FLYBALL is a fast-paced, action packed, and family-friendly team sport for everyone.  Also known as drag racing for dogs, flyball is an exhilarating relay race between two teams, each with four dogs and handlers.  Each dog races over four jumps, triggers a spring-powered box to release a ball, catches the ball, and returns over the jumps, passing nose-to-nose with the next dog.The bursts of speed will take your breath away, and the thrill of running a flyball dog makes this sport as fun for humans as it is for dogs.

Come join Rachel Olson for a day of getting to know the sport of flyball and to give it a try with your dog.  This exciting workshop is for friendly dogs.  Handlers should bring a crate or a helper-person to hold their dog, favorite treats, toys, balls, and a buckle collar or harness. Wear active shoes and clothing. Registration is limited to eight dog-handler-helper teams. Auditor spots are unlimited.
