Matt Bilderback has been involved in disc dog and performance dog training since 2004. He has competed in numerous states at the professional disc dog handler level with his, high performance canines, Border Collie Buddy and Two Mini Aussies, Bella & Bazooka. Notable accomplishments include two time National Champions, eight National/World Championship invitations, multiple local and long distance champions, as well as, traveling to the 2011 Ashley Whippet World Championships, 2007 & 2010 USDDN international Finals and 2009 Purina Incredible Dog Challenge. His goal is to promote the sport in the Columbus area with the hopes of bringing major competitions to the region.

Dog & Handler Spots are limited to 12 Teams, and discs for you and your dog (to take home) are included in the cost of the seminar. This workshop has working activities for all attendees, with or without dogs. Human attendees are participants, not observers.

Most of the work covered will allow any dog of any age to learn the game of canine disc. Like other dog sports, learned maneuvers requiring a requested leap should be prohibited and/or monitored for canines based on height, age, and physical ability. In the Advanced session some over, vault, and stall basics may be taught. Handlers are expected to understand their dog’s abilities while entered in these sessions and adjust their efforts accordingly.
